He completed his MBBS in 1987 from Government Medical College, Calicut. He further pursued his specialization with DTCD (Tuberculosis & Chest Diseases) in 1994 and MD in TB & Respiratory Diseases in 1995 from Government Medical College, Calicut. In 1997, he obtained his DNB in Respiratory Diseases, further strengthening his academic and clinical credentials in pulmonology.

Dr. Rajagopal has extensive experience in diagnosing and managing complex respiratory conditions including tuberculosis, asthma, COPD, interstitial lung diseases, and other chronic pulmonary disorders. He is skilled in advanced respiratory care, evidence-based treatment planning, and comprehensive patient management. As Head of the Department, he plays a key role in academic leadership, mentoring postgraduate students, and enhancing pulmonary healthcare services with a strong commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centered care.
